Dairy Cottage

A former dairy on the National Trust Cotehele Estate, Cornwall

Dairy cottage is a unique property filled with beautiful period details and history. We wanted to enhance these features, whilst bringing a fresh, contemporary mood that is a delight for guests to stay in. Inspired by the green grass and meadow flowers found on the doorstep surrounding Dairy Cottage, we wanted to bring a little of the outdoors in.

Fresh greens, buttercup yellow and a creamy white palette with accents of grounding charcoal give a more contemporary edge to the scheme. This is also a nod to the dairy cows that once resided close to the former dairy. Whimsical, contemporary prints and accessories can be found throughout, echoing the nearby floral hedgerows and gardens with pops of unexpected colour and pattern to give a light, inviting and modern feel.
