Highbrook Cottage

A holiday cottage in New Radnor, Mid Wales

Clients Susan and James wanted to breathe new life into a holiday cottage which was full of charm and character, but somewhat dated. The colours found in the surrounding landscape provided the perfect palette; soft through to vibrant greens, complimentary warm pinks and a touch of sunny yellow all help create a happy and inviting backdrop. The addition of tongue and groove panelling throughout as well as a hand-made painted kitchen bring texture and charm in abundance.

Sam’s signature painted window frames and doors add a touch of unexpected colour and character as well as carefully placed whimsical prints, patterns and a good dose of Welsh heritage in benches and blankets. The result is an inviting, timeless, colourful retreat with some unexpected, personal touches and attention to detail, with comfort and relaxation at the forefront.
