Sam's diverse roles involved developing seasonal concepts and defining design themes across all product categories within the home furnishings department. Sam analysed trends and sales data to create new colour palettes, delved into the extensive design archive for inspiration, sourced or commissioned fresh designs, as well as creating original designs for upcoming fabric and wallpaper collections.

A significant portion of Sam’s time was dedicated to creating and developing new designs, as well as reworking archival patterns to produce fresh layouts, scales, and colourways. She focused on harmonising printed and woven fabrics with wallpapers, collaborating closely with mills worldwide to deliver cohesive collections. This work extended to partnering with buying teams across all categories to ensure the original concepts were faithfully brought to life in-store, and in the catalogue.
