Town Wall Tower

A medieval tower in the heart of Shrewsbury, owned by the National Trust

Town Wall Tower is a small and somewhat imposing four-storey tower with just a single room on each floor. We wanted to bring a little softness and carefully chosen modern luxuries to the scheme to create a warm and inviting place to stay. Natural stone, wood and aged metals were at the forefront of the design where a neutral palette allows the period features and natural materials to take the limelight.

Charcoal, warm amber tones and burnished metal colours are threaded throughout the property in accessories and finishes, including the freestanding copper bath, which brings warmth and understated glamour to the pared-back scheme. Vintage mirrors, furniture and accessories are empathetic to the age of the property and bring a unique stylish edge to each room.
