Wilson Farmhouse

A farmhouse on The National Trust Longshaw Estate, Peak District National Park

Wilson farmhouse had been uninhabited since around the late 1990’s when we first visited, and was in need of a full update and refurbishment. It contained many original features which were carefully preserved and left intact including stone fireplaces and warped, characterful wooden beams over internal windows.

We wanted to introduce a relaxed, light, multicoloured scheme to the previously dark interior and as always were inspired by the beautiful surrounding landscape. A combination of gentle dusky, muted tones including colours of heather, misty green hillsides and grey-blue skies, evoke a sophisticated, contemporary and relaxed mood, letting the original character of the property shine through.
